Preparation of Diphosphine,1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-: this chemical can be prepared by (2-Oxo-2-phenylethyl)mercury chloride with Diphenylphosphane; potassium salt. This reaction needs reagent 18-crown-6 and solvent hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide. The reaction time is 30 min. The yield is 47 %.

Diphosphine,1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl- can be prepared by (2-Oxo-2-phenylethyl)mercury chloride with Diphenylphosphane; potassium salt.

Uses of Diphosphine,1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it can react with Tetraphenyl-diphosphane to get Tetraphenyl-diphosphane P,P'-dioxide. The reaction occurs with solvent dimethylsulfoxide and other condition of irradiation for 30 min. The yield is 72 %.
